What We Have Done

Appropriate Designs is the distinguished winner of the 2010-2011 Connecticut Zero Energy Challenge (ZEC). Richard Sherman designed and built the award-winning Ashford home of Cindy Moeckel and Larry Grasso, voted the most energy efficient building envelope in the Ct Zero Energy Challenge contest for houses built in 2010.

We have completed projects in such Connecticut towns as Preston, Willington, Andover, Hampton, Hebron, Coventry, Ashford, Canterbury, Somers, Union, Ledyard, Mansfield, New Hartford, Killingly, Columbia, Lebanon, West Hartford, and Stephenson, Wisconsin. Plans and photographs of designs and constructed projects are included in this website and can be made available upon request. Visits to existing residences may also be arranged. On occasion, interior tours may also be arranged. A list of references will gladly be provided to potential clients when appropriate.
